glaucomaresearch.ch was founded in the nineties by Prof. Josef Flammer with the aim to understand and treat glaucoma patients comprehensively. At that time, he also founded the "Glaucoma-Meeting Basel" and wrote a glaucoma book which has been translated into more than twenty languages.

glaucomaresearch.ch is currently led by Dr. Katarzyna Konieczka. She organized the first "Ocular Blood Flow Summit", is editor of the new edition of the glaucoma book and author of this glaucomaresearch.ch website.
