Thanks to Prof. Josef Flammer

Josef Flammer was my supervisor for many years, from whom I could learn a lot. His basic and clinical research, as well as his human and professional holistic approach to patients, excited and inspired me. I had the honor of conducting many research projects and writing publications together with him.
He also provided me with support and advice in the development of this website. For all this I am very grateful to him.

Josef Flammer is professor emeritus at the University of Basel. From 1987 to 2013 he was head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Basel.

Since his retirement, Prof. Josef Flammer no longer has any consulting hours. However, he still advises clinicians, researchers, institutions and companies.
